What is Emotional Intelligence Coaching and how can it help?
The modern workplace requires employees to go past technical expertise, to empower and lead their staff. For many organisations, how to do this is not part of their technical training plans. For some, it may come naturally but for the majority, these are skills requiring development.
Why do we need to go past technical expertise? If we take both the technical and the emotional information that is present in all interactions, we can combine the two to create a high-performance culture utilising all the knowledge and expertise we have. A great workplace knows how to do this.
Barriers can be that organisations do not fully understand what emotional intelligence (EI) is, its impact and how to measure it. The EQi can change that.
The EQ-i2.0 tool is here to help give organisations a new language for EI, and a new type of intelligence edge above and beyond technical. Since EI can be developed, the EQ-i2.0 will measure where each Leaders is, and create confidential development plans to build only the specific skills required.
The EQ-i2.0 model looks at how we perceive and express ourselves, then how we relate to others. It goes further to then look at decision making and stress management both of which are key for a high-performance culture.
By understanding emotional intelligence strengths and development areas, we can quickly identify development needs to provide a deeper coaching experience.
