What is EQ Leader as Coach?
If you think of a leader who inspires you the most, the chances are you are not really inspired by their technical capabilities exclusively. It could be the way they engage with people, their empathy, the way they remain calm under pressure or their ability to make quick decisions. All of these attributes have emotional intelligence right at their very core and those which account for nearly 90 percent of what sets high performers apart from peers with similar technical skills and knowledge. While you might excel at your job technically, if you can’t effectively communicate with your team or collaborate with others, those technical skills may get overlooked.
Leaders who adopt a coaching style have been proven to have more productive and effective teams. Leaders who adopt a coaching style and use their emotional intelligence effectively create long lasting and sustainable success.
Our programme will support participants to develop a coaching style and their own emotional intelligence. This is not just a coaching skills course, this is a programme that will be focused on developing effective coaching leaders.
All participants will receive 1:1 coaching, using the personalised EQ-i2.0 report, at the start at end of the programme. We will help to develop their emotional intelligence while building on their coaching skills to become an effective coaching leader.

What is covered?
Our 'EQ Leader as Coach' programme is unique to Coaching Direct and builds upon the Association for Coaching's Accredited 'Leader as Coach' award, to build in techniques for developing one's own emotional intelligence levels, and those of their teams. Alternating between group activities and individual reflective exercises, this engaging 3 month programme encourages leaders to focus on their leadership coaching strengths and areas they can develop further. Leveraging results from leaders’ EQ-i 2.0® Leadership Reports, participants will learn the importance of emotional intelligence in effective leadership and leave with a better understanding of their strengths and areas to develop to enhance their coaching skills, as well as an action plan on how to increase their own personal effectiveness and leadership style.
