How do we use Strengths?

If you think of a leader who inspires you the most, the chances are you are not really inspired by their technical capabilities exclusively. It could be the way they engage with people, their empathy, the way they remain calm under pressure or their ability to make quick decisions. All of these attributes have emotional intelligence right at their very core and those which account for nearly 90 percent of what sets high performers apart from peers with similar technical skills and knowledge. While you might excel at your job technically, if you can’t effectively communicate with your team or collaborate with others, those technical skills will get overlooked. By mastering emotional intelligence, you can continue to develop and become an emotionally effective leader. 

As part of the course, each person will receive their personalised EQ-i2.0 Leadership report (example below).

What is covered? 

Our strengths workshops focus on...
Course Objectives:
  • Understand what a strength is and how to identify strengths in oneself and others
  • Create understanding of strengths using the Strengths Profile 
  • Enable participants to identify specific areas in their own EQ-i 2.0 Leadership Reports and build an action plan to work on areas to develop further and leverage strengths

​Upon completion of this session, participants will:​
  • Understand the role of emotional intelligence in effective leadership
  • Explore key areas of leadership in relation to emotional intelligence
  • Understand the key elements of their own EQ-i 2.0 Leadership Report
  • Articulate their strengths and areas with opportunity for growth (from their own report)
  • Identify and understand how aspects of emotional intelligence lead to derailing behaviors
  • Apply what they have learned in the session by developing a personal EQ-i 2.0 learning plan

How are your Strengths Workshops delivered?

The course is delivered in-house with a normal group size of 12 people. This can be tailored to meet your needs, with additional facilitators to increase group size. The course can be made up of different leadership levels. Pre and post-course measurements will be put in place to measure impact. 

At present, we are running this course online with a maximum number of 8 in a group. While we
 typically run this course in-house, we do from time-to-time run open courses. To find out when our next open course is running, please do enquire below.
